I have an Elite 6930 and an Office Jet all in one J6410. I have upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit. The printer is working fine but I cannot open up HP Solution Center. I receive a message saying the device installation is not complete. Consequently I cannot scan or access Photosmart etc.
I have downloaded new drivers (13.0.0.44.62) for J 6410 from HP site and receive message that installation woks but it does not for HP Solution Center.
What am I doing wrong?

What does solution center say or do when you try to open it

There is an update to apply when updating from Vista to Windows 7.

Bob,
I am in a similar position. I have an HP Photosmart D5460. It used to work on XP but due to a hard drive failure I upgraded to Windows 7 on a new drive. The installation disc does not recognise Windows 7 and the update idea you mentioned i.e Vista to Windows 7 only works if the original software is in place.
Windows 7 recognised my printer so i can print but i no longer get Solution Center so I cannot tell what my ink levels are.
I emailed HP who very kindly told me that as my product is out of warranty they could not help me and directed me to this site....which is a bit rich as I still buy there inks obviously.
Any ideas for me?

Here is the link to the Windows 7 64bit driver that should install fine

Genius - worked first time. Thanks.
This was a different link from the one that I kept downloading and failing to install so you might want to check the HP site to see whether it is actually on message. The 13.0 download for the printer mentions scanning and certainly gives the impression that HP Solution Center would work with the driver. Even my computer shop thought that 13.0 was correct where as you sent me PHotosmart 13.1.....which worked.

I'm also having the same problem. New PC with windows 7 and I cannot get the Solution Centre for my Officejet 4355. Can't find any download on HP site either. Can you help!!?? ta

Sorry, the only driver available for the Officejet 4355 is the one provided through Windows Update. It does not include the Solution Center.

I have had an issue with Solutions Centre for some time now for my J4580. After trying everything I eventually downloaded the update for the solutions centre for my printer at the following link:
It is actually a full version of SC13. Why HP does not just post this as a SC download is beyond me as there are a lot of posts about issues with this application.

Hello,
I have the same problem but my machine is a C7280 AIO.
I upgraded from XP SP3 to Windows 7 32-bit.
I downloaded the latest software from the HP website
Printing is OK, but the Solution Centre won't run.
Are you able to help me.
