Re-installing C3180 printer

After  several weeks, my HP C3180 printer has been operating erratically.(eg - disconnecting and reconnecting by itself as well as not printing pages in the order that i request) I decided to uninstall and re-install the software from your site.I keep coming up with the same problem,which is,during reinstall the software installs as far as "overall progress-installing step 3/4 " it refuses to go any further.I downloaded the program to completely remove the software before uninstall.Can you help me get the installation completed.thanks
