SD card in Photosmart C5180,

when I put an SD card in my Photosmart C5180 and try to "save photos on computer" I get msg "you need to install device software",  I have a new Compaq PC CQ2014, with Win 7 and 64 bit

Hi,

Did you installed the Full Feature Software below?

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL30777/mp-76232-1/AIO_CDA_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe

If not, make sure to unplug the USB first.

Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right click the C5100 printer icon and then select Remove Device.

Reboot your PC and then follow the installation.

After instalation, you will notice a "HP Solution Center" icon on your desktop. Through that program you should be able to transfer the images.
