The scanner works fine. But all it does is scan directly into the default folder. That's nice, but how do I choose to only scan part of a document or picture? Or where can I choose color or black & whilte and how do I change the resolution?
I guess what I'm asking is where is the menu? How do I access it. Can't I scan from within a program (like adding a graphic to Publisher) .
Thanks

Well, I answered my own question. I remembered seeing an offer for Adobe Photoshop during setup. I don't use Photoshop. I use PaintShopPro. I remembered selecting a TWAIN driver option there. So I opened PSP (7) and under File/Import/TWAIN/Select Source. I saw my 309, selected it then hit the scan button on my toolbar. There was everything I was used to seeing with my stand alone scanner. There are all kinds of options to "fix" or change the image. Scanning preview showed what the output would be.
I clicked finished. It scans so fast directly into PSP. Then I saved the image and could insert it into any doc or email.
I had looked high and low for any mention of how to do this. I think if I didn't have some experience with scanners, I would never had found it.
I hope this helps some one else.
