Either this problem has not come up before, or the answer is not in terms I can understand/identify. I have Window 7 and a HP 6280 Photosmart printer. It has been working just fine. Suddenly, the Solution center is just a blank black square. It still prints, if I hit print, and it will scan, if I use the buttons on the front of the printer. It does not, however, work from the computer anymore as I cannot get the solution center to display the choices. When I try to reload the program from the disc, the auto play doesn't work, if I find the setup.exe file, when I click it, it says this doesn't work in Windows 7, however, it has been working up to this point. I have the XP mode set up on this but I can't seem to get it to run when I try to run it in setting. I am very ignorant about this stuff so I need an answer in words of small syllabuls and not assuming I know what people are talking about? I cannot, of course, actually talk to anyone at HP to get help.

Hello,
Please try the following steps and check for any change:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Locate either Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features.
- Uninstall Adobe Flash by selecting the software from the list and hitting Uninstall (you may have several lines for the player, plugin, etc.) Make sure to remove any component of Adobe Flash.
- Visit Adobe to get the latest version:

- Launch the HP Solution Center and check for any change.
Plet let me kno of any progress,
Shlomi

Thank you so much. I had the latest version of Adobe 11X32 but have been having trouble with it crashing with firefox. And it turned out I needed to download it for IE as well for some reason, but that worked! Thank you so much. And thanks for the lead me by the hand answer, that was very helpful.

Godd luck in find a solution now - Your lucky if you get one if you call HP Tech Support. Iseems that they dropped support on some perfectly good units and are trying to drum up sales by offering new units that they know will work with Windows 7

Actually, his solution did work and the solution center is now working. Odd because I had the flash player I needed to start with, but reinstallng it for Mozilla and IE seemed to solve the problem.

What operating system are you using?
For Windows 7 there is no Full Feature Software available for the 9120, only basic drivers are provided...

To: ShlomiL ( screen name on the Community Board)
Subject: MANY EXASPERATING EXPERIENCE(S) with HP and their Officejet 9120 product.
Dear Distinguished Professor ShlomiL and HP et'al,
Someone in HP should "self-fire" themselves for not supporting a perfectly good piece of hardware, when it runs correctly on an XP OS. The shear weight of this machine compared to the JUNK that HP is marketing now (which on the average weighs less than 40 pounds) should be a testament to the reduction in quality since the Officejet 9120 manufacture date.
If you don't mind me asking, why is it (after THOUSANDS of Click on this and link to heres) that I have to learn from you that the Officejet 9120 becomes a PRINTER ONLY and loses the Fax, and Scan capabilities when operating in Win 7 Pro environment? And if you don't mind, would you please elaborate on what it is that makes it incompatible, Professor? Also, why is it that the original CD with the software drivers for the 9120 returns a message that “IE5 or greater is needed to proceed with the installation” when I have IE9 installed?
Additionally, why is it that the Microsoft website list’s the Officejet 9120 as compatible with Windows 7 Pro?
I have a suggestion that you may want to put in your suggestion box: Make a list of all the units that DON'T have FULL FUNCTIONALITY with Windows 7 and publish it to the FIRST page of the HP site instead of wasting peoples time with trying to get their units to operate! AFRAID you'll lose business? You bet.
On most every community board there's only two or three out of the whole page of problems that were SOLVED. And if you read the ones that were solved, it usually something simple that you could attribute to Pilot Error.
By the way here's a link that ALL the people on the community board that DIDN'T receive a solution to their problems should visit:

Very truly,
NO-SPIN
(undercover boss)
PS – you should also know that when I first bought the Officejet 9120 that it made a racket while printing and would always stop printing due to non-existent paper jams. The reason for this, which I found out, was that during the manufacturing process they left out a screw which held down the ink supply hoses leading to the print heads. I know this because the screw was absent from the parts breakdown drawing of the unit.
I put my own screw in and it ran trouble free for years and it’s still going strong today.
SOLVED!!!! – KUDOS ANYONE?
