The file HPZius12.sys on HP cd is needed

Could some one help  me solve the problem that I'm getting into my hp photosmart 2610xi AIO I bought it like 3 years ago, and last week when I try to re-install the software first from the online driver then from the CD. Both times  in the middle of the process  a dialog box always comes up saying " The file  HPZius12.sys" on hp cd is  needed. I looked for the file in my computer and on the CD. Does anyone in geekland know how  to fix this problem?  THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE.

Are you using vista or XP?

depends on us OS (xp or vista) version, download the software from hp.com and  before installaing,

Vista/Win 7

right click on setup.exe and select run as Administrator 

For XP

Log in the computer as Administrator account and install the software

I have XP  my husband and I have administrator accounts.  I dont know how to log in as an admin other than just click on my name when windows boots up.

Sorry for the ignorance, can you explain?  thank you for some additional help.

May be your CD got corrupted. I advice you to downlaod the latest package from hp and install. Hope that will help. Here is the location

you really should have one administrator acct, in a husband and wife situation use jut one log in icon and password
