Vista Duplex Solution - Back Page Upside Down

Hi i have a hp photosmart 1215 printer and have just got a compaq pc with vista ...and i cant find a driver any where for it and was wondering if you could help in any way

that printer is not supported by Vista. so no software/drivers built for VIsta are available.

For printing in Vista the Deskjet 990 driver should be a good match, including duplex capability.  The card reader functionality will not be available.

Sadly it didnt work i think i will just have to go buy new printer if there is not going to be a driver for it to run with vista

I applied the patch and the printer is now printing as it should.  It was really easy as I just did a cut and paste of each command (one at a time hitting the enter key after pasting each command) to the command line within windows and copied the file he sent into the specified directory.  This was so simple until it makes you wonder why HP still hasn't corrected the problem.  Thanks Bob!!

I emailed Bob, received and installed his patch.  Fixed my Vista head-to-toe printing problem on my Photosmart 3310 All-in-One.

Dear Mr. Headrick,

Thank you for an easy solution for the printing of duplex documents within MS Vista.  I loaded the patch as per your short form instructions and success.

I had been using the work around of the HP990C driver, however that presented problems that I had to use two different drivers to accomplish the same task.

Thank you for your help and hard work.  Now my HP Officejet d145 prints properly in duplex mode.  Still looking for solutions for the scanner part and the memory stick pieces, ie.. HP Director Software.

I'll add my praise to the long list already here.

I have a Photosmart 3310. Great printer but, without the ability to do Duplex printing in the CORRECT orientation, the Duplexer was worthless under Vista.

Problem solved, proper Duplex printing.
