Re: Vista Duplex Solution - Back Page Upside Down

Bob,

Thanks  so much for the very simple solution to my duplex problem. I have been using an older desktop and laptop with XP Pro printing perfectly to two  HP8450 printers. I recently added a HP Laptop and HP desktop running Vista 64 bit OS and was unable to do duplex printing with the back page oriented correctly. Thanks to your timely response with an easily installed patch, I am now happily printing correctly orientated documents via my duplexed 8450's.

I have asked HP support about an updated driver and the response I got was "Buy new printers". I love my old printers and don't intend to replace them till they die of really old age.  I am thankful I found this forum and for your support. Thanks to you I have saved some money and am killing half as many trees.

Re: Vista Duplex Solution - Back Page Upside Down

Dear Bob,

as I understand, you are the person, who really cares about saving trees, allowing Duplex printing in Vista 64.

I have Photosmart 8250 under Vista Home Prem sp1  64Bit.

If you can send me your path, I'll be extremely grateful to you.

Thank you in advance,

Dmitri

Re: Vista Duplex Solution - Back Page Upside Down

Hi, you'll need to email Bob about the printer you're using and mention 'Vista Duplex Solution' in the subject line. See the instructions on the first post of the first page to find out how to contact him.

Re: Vista Duplex Solution - Back Page Upside Down

Hi Joebar -

If your are using the patch supplied from Kory you should ask him for support.  He took the patch I sent him and posted it without permission or acknowledgement.

If you would like detailed instruction send me an email as described in my first post and request detailed instructions, they would probably resolve your issue.  Be sure to put "VIsta Duplex cp1700" in the title so I can find it amongst the pile of email I get.

Re: Vista Duplex Solution - Back Page Upside Down

Re: Duplexer patch HP 7310 All in One ( with duplex attachment) Vista Home Premium  - patch

Following migration from Windows XP to Vista using a new pc, I must have used every single permutation in trying to print double sided with back page upside down unsuccessfully, having had no joy in addressing this issue directly HP,  I joined this forum - saw the user's feedback and requested Bob Headrick for a patch.

Very promptly I  received a patch from Bob, this came with very precise and clear instructions. I followed these and as if by magic and in no time, I was successful in enabling automatic duplex printing. Many thanks to Bob for his time and effort, I am sure Bob's helpful approach does set an example to many of us.
