Can't tell you all how frustrated I was upgrading to Vista recently. Figured out most issues for the Officejet 7410 but this one. I even ordered the software and printer drivers from HP to get the printer back to most of the features it offers, but for the back page upside down printing. Glad I found that Bob has a patch and have emailed him the request.
Thanks,
Michelle

Bob,
Thanks for sending me the patch.
My photosmart 2710 now doesn't print upside-down anymore on my 32-bit vista.
Thanks,
Kc

Another happy customer! Worked great and the directions were easy to follow.
I did notice that it prints very slow unless you complete the step where you make changes to the printer properties as administrator.
Thank you Bob!

Hi, I'm newborn there ![]()
Sorry for my English it's not my natural language.
I have a question about HP CP1700ps Printer.
I work with Autocad and use custom paper sizes largest than standart one.
In Windows 2000/XP, I can set custom paper sizes up to 330x1270mm, but in Vista I can not.
This is a very big problem for me.
If anyone understand what i described
, please tell me if there any suggestions about my case...

Hi There again.
Thanks to Bob for quick response!
For sorry, this patch does not affect custom paper sizes. They still stay as before patching.
Can not set custom paper size bigger than 215x330mm . In Windows XP it can be set up to 330x1270mm.
I warn HP with e-mail for this, but not back response yet .
Thanks Bob for understandable manual for patching, again!

Got a quick response from Bob and I installed the patch. The patch solved the problem that the back page was printing upside down when duplexing on my OfficeJet 7410.
Thanks Bob for a really great install procedure and driver.
Gonna save this patch since I'm sure HP updates will eventually overide it.
HP where are you?
Very best regards.

Bob,
Thanks for the quick turnaround -- better than calling the helpdesk!
The patch worked perfectly and the instructions were pretty easy to follow -- after I realized that the Administrator.CommandPrompt homed to the \Windows\System32 directory.
I purchased a new HP desktop in January 2009 with Vista Home Premium -- I am surprised that the fix was not included with this new box
Thanks for the good work on this!
Bob

I tried Bob Headrick's fix and it worked perfectly. I would have hated to continue wasting half of the paper. Thanks.
