Where is HP Solution Center software?

I didn't ask at this pint in the discussion, but I did exactly that.  I'm running Vista Home Premium 64-bit, with Photosmart C4480 All-in-One Printer.  The HP Solution Center isn't in the Full Feature Software.  Is it possible to use an XP-version of the software? How about a Windows 7 version?  If I download one of those onto my Vista platform (assuming it's not a similar problem with XP or Win 7 full feature software, i.e.., I don't know if the Photosmart C4400 series full feature s/w contains Solution Center), would either be compatible?

Success!  I don't think I did anything different, but I took one more shot at a full feature software download--for Photosmart c4480 using Windows Vista x64--in hopes that it would have a functional driver and include the HP Solution Center (5 previous attempts over the last month did not bring either in the package).  You should know that I have not done a system recovery, nor have I altered the registry, nor have multiple scans by two reliable anti-malware programs turned up any problem in the interim.  But this time it worked great.  The full feature software download executed a perfectly installed driver and it loaded Solution Center.  I'm wondering if there has been some unannounce tinkering by HP with the software package recently.  One clue is that the Solution Center is a new version--with a buffed up interface, and a couple of new features.  I don't know if HP finally got  it right, or if there's a ghost on the wire.  I don't know why I post here.  In fact I posted this problem in three appropriate threads.  But no advice was ever forthcoming from the community, and certainly not from HP (I did not want to pay for customer care for my out-of-warranty Photosmart all-in-one either).  In any case, hasta la vista, or at least until next problem... OR perhaps I won't bother with this at all next time.....

like you I will not pay them for support of a problem H.P. must have caused.

Please be aware that this forum is a peer to peer support forum, it is not a direct link to HP support.  The folks posting here are volunteers helping others.

To get help on this board you need to provide some details of your issue. 

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? Have you installed the full featured driver?

This doesn't work, I have been through this full set up at least 3 times, still no Solution Center.  I can't scan and am very frustrated.  I'm running Win7 (64 bit) and am trying to install HP Deskjet F4580.  Now what???  I've even attached the USB (I'm running wireless) as indicated in instructions but it doesn't work.

What exactly happens when you try to install Solution Center?  Are there any error messages?  In the page that asks for you to acknowledge that you agree to the conditions there is a link for "Selected Software".  Click this link then make sure "HP Solution Center" is selected.
