Is there a way around the build number check for the Windows 7 drivers for the Photosmart 3300.
I am currently using the RC version of Windows 7 and the drivers insist that I should be using a full release build of Windows 7, which is pretty annoying to be honest. I've tried altering the build number in the registry but this does not appear to be checked by the program, it seems to be determining the build number from some other source (maybe a runtime variable or something similar).
Any help would be much appreciated!

Since you say "any help" I will suggest the obvious - update your system to the released version. The RC is at best a temporary option, it will start shutting down in a few months.
I do not know of a way around the version check in HP's installer. You may be able to extract the files and then use Add Printer, Have disk to install the print drivers. When you run the install program it will typically unpack the driver files to the %temp% directory in a subdirectory with a name starting with 7zS. Look for a subdirectory starting with 7zS and the proper creation date and time. You can then wade through the install files and perhaps install the print driver using Add Printer, Have Disk.
