Windows 7 and C6150 Printing

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and tried to install new drivers for my C6150 printer (the Vista version of the print driver worked without problem).  I downloaded the new driver and installed after download was complete.  The C6150 is setup in wireless mode.  It seemed to install alright and I was able to print the test page from the HP final setup screen without problem.  When I tried to print from Word though, nothing happens.  Watching the print queue shows the print job in the queue which then acts like it is sent to the printer and the print job disappears from the queue, but nothing comes out of the printer.  If the printer is in standby mode from inactivity the printer activates, but does not print, so it looks like some communication between the computer and the printer is taking place, but that's all that happens.  I also tried installing the printer from Windows 7 and also running a USB cable from the computer to the printer with the same results.  I am running Network Magic from Cisco systems on my computers.  I can print from my Windows 7 computer by transferring the print job through the network to a computer running XP.  This computer then sends the print job on to the C6150 wirelessly without any problems.  Any suggestions on what might be the problem with Windows 7 would be appreciated.

Re: Windows 7 and C6150 Printing

I am having basically the same issues as are described here but my printer is the C6180.  In addition, after I reboot my computer the printer icon and fax icon vanishes from the available printers on my system.  I have tried uninstalling the dirvers, reninstalling the drivers, and running the patch to no avail.

Re: Windows 7 and C6150 Printing

It's two  years later, and the same problem still exists.  I can't make myHP  c6250 (bought 2007) work with my new HP Pavilion.  I spent a lot of time working with the HP techies on the phone, only to be finally told:  buy a new printer!  I will, but it won't be an HP!  HP doesn't support its printers.  Canon MX882, here I come.

Oops - sorry about that.  I corrected the link above, now I have to go track down the other question I was answering at the same time and probably transposed the link with....

No, the fix about unseen printers on the home network did nothing for me.

Re: Windows 7 and C6150 Printing

By the way, the c6150/windows 7 problem affects the printer only.  The c6150 is on my wirelesshome  network, and works for the scan and fax functions.  I conclude that the error is in HPs driver for the C6150: AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe.  Why hasn't someone from HP fixed it?
