Hi all,
I just bought HP Photosmart D110a printer and my OS is Windows XP 64bit. As far as I know, HP didn't release a 64bit driver for this printer for XP. Driver wasn't loaded on CD that came with the printer nor it is on HP's website. I was wondering if there is any software or driver for other printer that might work with D110a? Or is there any workaround for me to install this printer? This is the only pc I have and I am not planning to upgrade this pc any soon. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

The only workaround I can think of is connecting the printer wirelessly and using a universal print driver to allow printing. Limited scanning will be available through the wireless connection. If you have a router, then please post the exact model number of the router.
Also do you have a desktop or a laptop?

Yes, I have a router. It is a Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless N Router. This is a desktop so I don't know how I am going to be able to print to this printer if I set up wireless only. My desktop is connected to the routher via ethernet so I might be able, I don't know. I will try your option as soon as I get off the work. Thank you for your response.

Great. I have the same router too. Now the router and the printer have a method of connecting the printer wirelessly called WPS(Wi-Fi Protected Setup). We can use this to connect the printer to the router wirelessly. The router does not care how the devices are connected. So your PC will be able to communicate with the printer.
But first, I want to know if the router is using WPA encryption or WEP encryption. Cos WPS only works with WPA encryption.

Thanks again for the quik responese. I believe it is WPA encryption but I am not sure. I can change it if it's not set to WPA. Now my question is, how can I add this printer to my desktop? Which driver should I use to add this printer.

Before adding the driver, lets connect the printer to the network. Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for 5 seconds. You should see a WPS Push button countdown for 2 minutes being displayed on the printer. Once you see it, press and hold the WPS button on the router(the only button on the front of the router with the up and down arrow) until it starts blinking. Soon, you'll see a message on the printer that it connected to the network successfully. Let me know once you do this.
