blinking exclamation point

I have a blinking yellow exclamation point. If I turn off and turn back on I can get it to print, but after the light comes on again. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still there.

Hey there. Could you please include some more information about your problem? Items like what kind of printer you are using including the model as well as what kind of computer you are using, are extremely helpful.

HP J6480 all in one

I've tried several things. uninstalled and installed the printer. Reset of a couple of types. Unplug the printer then unplug from wall. wait 15 seconds, plug into wall then to printer. I have two computers hooked up to the same printer. One a desktop which is the one I used to uninstall and reinstall. The other is a laptop. Both are wireless. It seems to have started after I ran out of ink and left the empty cartridge for  quite a while. I thought that was the problem but when I replaced it there was no difference.

Try running the HP Print and Scan Doctor Let me know if this tool is able to solve the problem. If not post back with any new details and we can continue from there.
