deskjet 960c wrong colors

running hp deskjet 960c on a dell optiplex 380. problem occured after re-installing  windows. when printing in black only text is black, lines, boxes and thumbnail pics are red. sometimes lines are yellow.  When printing color pic it's all red with a little black. went to hp site to download new driver and was told to get it only from windows update. installed a utility from hp site. it said everything is fine.

Hey Wayne,

 

If your using Windows XP or newer I suggest running the HP Print & Scan Doctor to see if it is able to resolve your issue. If it does not resolve the issue, post back with any new details and we will continue from there.
