divers won't install for wireless officejet 4500

Hello dvr,

What happens when you try to install the drivers? Please provide any erros you may be receiving and any other information that may be useful in narrowing down the issue.

The diver installer completes and says the drivers have been installed but if I click on other devices ithere are 7 officejet 4500 g510n-z error messages that say :

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

If I do this I get a screen that pops up and says:

WINDOWS WAS UNABLE TO INSTALL YOUR OFFICEJET 4500 G510n-z

Windows could not find driver software for your device.

If you know the manufacturer of your device you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software. 

I have done this.. I HAVE spoken to customer support after 8 hours on the phone uninstalling 2 time she said I would have to call support for the computer because it wasnt the printer.  I can print a test sheet from the printer set up software and it gives me all of the correct info when the test prints. 

If I try to print something on any page I get the following error message.

An error has occured in the script on this page.

ERROR: UNSPECIFIED ERROR

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?   yes no

there is also separate tab under computer  that says wsd print provider that shows wsd print device. 

If I want to print something I have to copy it onto  a word document and print that.  Which is time consuming and ridiculous for a brand new printer and semin new laptop that are supposed to be compatible according to all of the documentation on both.  It also never shows up on the network when I retrieve the network map,

Which internet browser are you using? Check the version and see if there are any updates for it. You might also want to try a different internet browser just to check.

I have an office jet J4500 that is usb and I have had a fatal installation error and my software won't operate.  I have windows 7 64 bit and have uninstalled and reinstalled HP software, reinstalled my window s software and my printer doesn't work.  I am ready to toss the darn thing

Hi,

There must be some files or registry entires that are not getting removed properly. Try the "scrubber" utility I linked below. Uninstall the usual way one time, restart your computer, download the "scrubber" and run the Level 3. Restart the computer and try installing the software again.
