f4240 all- in-one install issues

Hello,having read similar posts and suggestions-not resolved as yet.Info as follows:

 vista home premium 32 bit-running on"E-Machine" Gateway computer(hold sarcasm please,Wal-Mart is my life lately)

system exceeds min.specs for install

printer is new-this is initial attempt to run

software will not load from disc or from website,receive "fatal error" alert when download attempts e:\setup\ hpzr101.exe-inf-m preload product drivers-w stub 328262-1enu  error situation code 22094348.Uninstalling files and reload not helping,followed purging steps from an ealier reply for an xp system,to no avail.

Also,I had previously attempted to install an older 1100 series photosmart printer which turned out to be not compatable(apparantly).I removed same,but is it possible that I have redundant files I'm not finding which are creating conflict? Hardware functions ok other than lack of prompt from computer.Is it possible I have a basic incompatability problem?All avail.info so far indicates this should work.Any help for this struggling rookie greatly appreciated.Thanks

Try to download the latest software and drivers for your printer from HERE and try installing it.

Thanks for the input.Unfortunately,download from the link you provided doesn't seem to do it either.One item I forgot to include in my original message was that when the cd attempts to clean the files after fatal error,I get an alert hpzrcv01 stating that library not registered.Don't know if this is relevant,I had assumed that it was a failure occuring when data is being sent to hp,but it didn't show up when I had the first failed download attempts.Thanks again for assist.

Hello again DexterM-If you are still on board,please note my reply to your solution on download link.Somehow my orig.plea now reads solved,but you'll notice it is in fact ongoing.As a new user,I may not be familiar enough yet with protocol,just wanted you to know issue remains the same,which is strange-this install seems as if it should be straightforeward.Sorry for any confusion,and thanks again for assist.
