have a laser jet 1022 wont load on win 7 64 bit

Keep getting error that the driver did not load thie ws with the disk and a download from the web site, any suggestions?

You can use the Add printer wizard to add this device to your win7 64 bit computer.

 

Click on Add printer

Add local printer

Use Existing Port - USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB) - if this port is in use, you can use another USB port.

Next Screen is Install printer driver - on the left select HP - on the right scroll down and select HP LaserJet 1020

Click Next (do not click windows update button)

Finish out wizard
