Hi. Thank you for replying. However, I have run this program already and the same problem exists. I have a pc. so I installed the printer on my MacBook and got the same results, the job is stuck in the printer. Am I doing something wrong? Please help as I like the quality of the printer. This is a bummer.

ran HPPDU.exe again. everything was fine and sent a test page. and when i went to check printing status it read 'error-printing'. I hope this helps.

Hi Rupantar,
Try running the steps in the document at the link below to reset the printer to default factory settings.

restoring factory setting did the trick. printer works now. thank you. just one more question. prior to restoring factory setting i ran the HPPDU.exe as well as trying other stuff which I can't remember. was it only a simply matter of restoring factory settings? If similar problems occur, is this the immediate solution? love the printer and thanks for great support.

Hi Rupantar,
It appears that the printer was in a degraded state, and restoring the default settings restored it to normal operation. Glad to hear this issue has been resolved. Have a wonderful day.
