paper jam on HP 4250 printer

When I plug in the printer it automatically loads a paper which then it goes half way through and gives me the message "paper Jam" . i go through the steps to clear the jam and then it does the same thing over again even though there is no jam. I have tried numerous suggestions by HP to correct it but nothing seems to work. and I can't use the printer.
