Hi JDL51,
Hope the following steps will help solving your issue.
Note: Don't uninstall the previous software, if you uninstalled it don't follow the troubleshooting below:
YOU SHOULD INSTALL THE ORIGINAL DRIVER THAT CAME WITH THE PRINTER
download this software
click this link...
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloa
>>Click on "Download only"
>>You may save or run it
>>Click save and after the download
>>Click the install
>>If It ask to continue click "Next"
>>If ask to install the Yahoo toolbar(you may check or uncheck that) and click "Next"
>>If you will be prompted to select the type of installation [Easy Install(Recommended) or Advaced Install], Select "Advanced Install" and click "Next"
>>Select "Custom..."
>>IMPORTANT SOFTWARE TO INSTALL:
---HP Solution Center
---HP OCR SOFTWARE
---HP Imaging Device Function
---HP Photosmart C6300 Series All in One printer
(*You may exclude some softwares such HP Photosmart Essential, HP Smart Web Printing, HP Update...and so on, by removing the check marks on the check box, if there are software that is already installed just leave it as it is.)
>>After selecting the softwares to be install click "Next"
>>If you will be prompted to select the connection type [USB connected or Network (Wireless/Wired)]
>>Click as a USB connected and click "Next"
>>Put a check mark on the Connect the usb device later(by putting a check mark it will enable you to click "Next" and continue the installation, since you are not using the C6380 anyway...)
>>Wait until it is done
>>It may or may not prompt you to restart
<<If it prompted you to restart the computer
>>Then restart it...
(*If there are no restart option, restart the computer)
After the restart..
try scanning from the SCAN TO..option on the printer
>>if it still a blank field where it says "Scan To".
>>Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable of the printer and after 30 seconds, turn the printer and try scanning from the printer.
>> Try using the HP Solution Center on your computer instead.
Cordially,
Julius Arcipe

What scanner or all-in-one do you have? What operating system? Downloading and installing the Photosmart C6350 driver may help, but probably not unless you actually have a C6300 series printer....
