I re-installed HP softwear (which took about 2 hours) after calling the telephone helpline who suggest that would solve my problem. My problem was that there was no HP solution centre on my computer. The printer prints fine...but i couldn't scan anything as no solution centre.
OK, so i uninstall...then re-install...and still no Solution Centre. Everything else works fine...printing...wireless printing...fax..etc ..but without solution centre...i'm stuffed!!

What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth?

I am having this same issue. I downloaded the drivers for Windows 7 for my new laptop and the printer seems to work fine but the Solution Center does not. My printer model is an Officejet 6310 All-in-One. The HP Solution Center is listed in "All Programs," but when I try to load/run it, I get an error message indicating "HP Solution Center can not run because device the installation is not complete."

HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-one connected by USB directly to Laptop with XP. Has worked fine for 3 years. Uninstalled and reinstalled software several times to get rid of solutioncenter.msi error and now clicking on Solution Center says no device is found even though printer works. Can scan through Control Panel but nowhere near as convenient.

I have exactly the same issue using an all in one c4385.
Re-install software comes up with an error right at the end. Says it is downloading a patch, and asks you to re-install again. Same again. Solution Centre does not run because it is not configured correctly. I really need help with this one, did a full day on the chat to technician support, no help at all. Now waiting for somebody to get back to me, been 36 hours, no response from HP. Running on win 7 ultimate 64, tried both 64 and 32 bit drivers, same issue.

I'm having same problem. My Photosmart C7280 all in one was working until warrenty expired last month. Now the printer works great, (so far), but the solution center has stopped working and I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 or 5 times still no luck. The icon is on desktop from my attempts to install but when I try to use I get " Not found". I have Vista 64 bit HP computer. I do print wireless, but have tried to connect to computer to see if that would help, it doesn't. I have never been able to email from solution center.
If anyone has a solution please let me know. Thanks

Where did HP Solution Center go, and how can I get it back?
My set up is:- HP Photosmart c6380 connected wirelessly to HP Compaq dx2250 running Windows XP Professional. Scan to file function had been working, then unexpectedly produced error report "scan function in use or unavailable" and would no longer scan anything. Tried following the troubleshooting actions recomended in the manual - uninstalling and re-installing all the Photosmart software from the supplied CD. Solution Center would not uninstall. Tried uninstalling it using Windows "Add or Remove Programs" utility. Same result. Tried uninstalling it usnig third party "forced uninstall" utility - success -or so I thought! But re-installing from the CD or by downloading from www.hp.com/support gives me a message "HP Solution Center already installed" and the icon doesn't appear on the desktop. Also, the up-dates on the web site fail to download because I "don't have HP Solution Center installed". This is confirmed by the HP Scan Diagnostic utility.
So, no HP solution Center installed, but I can't re-install it because it's already installed - or something!

Just chiming in case anyone at HP or Windows looks at these posts and sees the problems. Have C6380 printer for which I downloaded driver and related programs this summer and installed in new computer with Windows 7, 64 bit. Computer and printer on wireless ethernet; Solution Center and scanning worked fine. Just yesterday, the Solution Center ceased working, though the printer still printed. I uninstalled the printer and related programs and reinstalled them, adding the printer to the wireless network. Right now, the printer prints from the computer but solution center does not recognize the printer when on wireless, but if I connect the printer and the computer by USB cable, then the solution center does recognize the printer and scans. By the way, another computer in our house (wireless connection) can still scan using solution center.
