Re: re-installed software. But no HP Solution Centre.

I read in an obscure techie site that concluded upgrading flashplayer corrupts HP All-In-One printer drivers.  The "fix" is to try to reinstall from the original disk that came with the printer.  After installing the software over a dozen times, I inactivated flashplayer automatic upgrades and that helped, but sooner or later you have to upgrade flashplayer and the driver problem re-occurs.

All the HP software and driver upgrades don't solve the problem.  Don't pay HP for tech support on this one - you'll probably get the error anyway.

I gave up on AIO printers.  I hooked up a plain scanner and purchased a printer-only.  This combination appears bullet proof.

Re: re-installed software. But no HP Solution Centre.

I have also been struggling to get back my scanning capabilities to no avail on my CM2320nf.  I changed my laptop from WinXP Pro to Windows 7 Pro by doing a new install on a replacement hard drive and then going through the painful process of reinstalling all of my SW and data.

It seemed logical to download the latest drivers as the original discs were out of date and did not include Win 7 anyway.

I have tried a third party program to find all available drivers, but all that it came up with was the new HP Universal PRINTING drivers.   Hey HP, what about a twain driver for SCANNING???   Hello, is anyone there?

Re: re-installed softwear. But no HP Solution Centre.

It's funny that there are 4 pages of people who have this issue, and as of yet, no answer from HP. In my searches, I found someone on a non-HP site that said to un-install, then install just the "Basic" drivers, and then install the complete software set, that includes the "Solution Center".

Using this method, and dealing with a lot of fixing error message issues, I was finally able to get "Solution Center" running, and have it recognize my wireless All In One. I had been trying for months.

I hope this solution might help some of the other people here, where HP is clearly staying silent.

I love HP printers, scanners etc. but their installation of drivers and software is the worst in the industry, and as seen on this message thread, their support is non-existant.

Re: re-installed softwear. But no HP Solution Centre.

HP has several updates (installation, drivers, etc)  that solve all issues mentioned in this tread.

Re: re-installed softwear. But no HP Solution Centre.

have the ame problem. but with USB Officejet Pro 8500 AND Deskjet 4400 reinstall in Windows Vista Tried using the original CD and tried downloading the files from HP's site. I've tried various ways to instral, always the same result.

(Note: for the 8500 the website only had the basic installation, no file for solution center was available.)

When I do a selective install, it says that solution center is already installed. (It used to be, but no longer is). When i unintall, it does not inticate the solution ceter is there and won't "uninstall" it. Obviously some software indicator is incorrect. Can someone tell me how to correct this?

Re: re-installed softwear. But no HP Solution Centre.

I would suggest you delete all HP software from your computer then download the installation and drivers from the HP website.  I did not use the installation CD that came with my printer, I downloaded the updated installation from the HP website.

Wow, then, where would you find solution center software and drivers for L7780?  Win 7, 64 bit?

Right here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-79354-2&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

and what happens when you try to download the file OJProL7X00_Full_14.exe at that link?  NOTHING! NADA!

and what happens when you talk to HP support?  they walk you through to the same site and what do they get? NOTHING! NADA!

and what is their response?  the file is no longer available!

what, 3 days running and the hp site still has this link for this upgrade, but it doesn't exist??!!

so, do I abandon my new win 7 computers or my hp printer?  seems that it is hp's desire to make us buy new printers rather than support their products

The link is an ftp:// link.  You may have browser settings that block ftp transfers, in that case this link should work.  (This is the same link with ftp:// replaced with http://.)

Re: re-installed softwear. But no HP Solution Centre.

Thanks Bob!  I hope HP tech support is monitoring and will change the HP site, this is all I asked for, and got no response from support.  Now, I hope this update will work!
