reinstalling drivers for HP 6500 after Windows 8 installation

I've recently (and probably mistakenly) installed the preview version of Windows 8.  It deleted drivers for my HP Officejet 6500, and I'm unable to reinstall them.  Help?

As the windows 8 is still in a beta(Testing phase), HP has not created any drivers pertaining to that operating system. You might find instabilities related to hardware such as printer, video card etc.... Would suggest to use windows 7 till an official date is announced by Microsoft for the release of Windows 8.

The Printer Install Wizard for Windows 8 Consumer Preview did not work.

the excuse was this (which is not true of course) Can you help?
