HP Laserjet P1005 and Windows 7

Hello,

I tried to install the drivers for the Laserjet P1005 printer on my Windows 7 PC but it just doesn't want to install those drivers. Is this printer fully incompatible with Windows 7? If yes, will HP fix this compatibility issue?

Thank you very much

Re: HP Laserjet P1005 and Windows 7

Laserjet P1005 is fully compatible with Windows 7. HP have released a fully featured functional driver compatible with Windows which can be downloaded from the following weblink:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL20938/bi-54963-5/hp_LJP1000_P1500_Full_Solution-ROW.exe

Re: HP Laserjet P1005 and Windows 7

Hi,

Did you try software installation by downloading full solution software from the web? OR was this from built in drivers. Here is the link for full solution drivers

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4062&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3435676&lang=en

The above link also has an option to download host based plug and play drivers. I suggest trying that too if the full solution does not work. BTW do you see any error during install?

Thanks

Thanks guys, it's true, you have to install the full support files and paradoxically, not just the drivers....then it works!
