Re: HP Printer Control app for Windows 8

Hi darrell12,

The printer must be installed in order to print. To find out if it is installed, go to Control Panel>Devices and Printers and check if your printer is listed there.

If not, then turn Device Sharing on to enable an automatic download of the in-os driver (assuming you're in Win 8).

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/turn-sharing-on-or-off

If not, download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&jumpid=ex_r4155/hho/ipg/ccdoc/p...

Hope that helps.

Hi da1nonly,

You can either click the Scan button in the Controls are (blue rectangle) or click the tile to the far right calls 'HP Scan abd Capture' which will download and run this app.

Hope that helps.

Hi cedricrice,

Are you in Win 8? Is Device Sharing turned on?

Re: HP Printer Control app for Windows 8

Hi Ianka,

Did you migrate from Win 7 to Win 8? How are you scanning (i.e. from what software)?
