HP Solution Center Software not available in downloaded Software Package for Laserjet CM2320fxi MFP

My Laserjet CM2320fxi MFP was run up until recently under WinXP and the driver and software package came form the original CD delivered with the printer. Now I upgraded my notebook from WinXP Prof to Win7 Prof and the original CD seems not to be Win7 compatible. Downloading the Win7 compatible software package from:

gave "CM2320series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v3.1.exe" which, upon installation, provided the correct printer and fax hardware icon but the scanning device is missing at all. This is most probably because the "HP Solution Center" software appears not to be part of the downloaded package ?!

 

Taking the original CD again and running its setup.exe under WinXP SP3 compatibility modus displayed much more software packages than the downloaded version aboves and it also includes the offer to install the "HP Solution Center" software. However, installation shortly before the end of the installation the attempt finally fails because of lack of a few dll files and which are surprisingly requested from the (which, XP or 7?) Windows CD.

 

Is this problem knowm by other users ? There are three other packages available for download e.g "CM2320series-win7-full-solution-EMEA2, -EMEA3 and -AP. Their respective descriptions do not reveal any difference, file properties are all version 3.1, all are dated 2009-10-26, only file sizes among the four version differ slightly (302 - 319.6 Mbyte).

 

Can somebody offer help please ?

I got the same problem. No DIM. I wonder what is the difference between CM2320series-win7-full-solution-AP-v3.1.exe (302 MB), CM2320series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v3.1.exe (320 MB), CM2320series-win7-full-solution-EMEA2-v3.1.exe (320 MB) and CM2320series-win7-full-solution-EMEA3-v3.1.exe (315 MB, too. The people here http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1396766 have the same problem and no response from HP. This is a mess!

There is no difference between CM2320series-win7-full-solution-AP-v3.1.exe (302 MB), CM2320series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v3.1.exe (320 MB), CM2320series-win7-full-solution-EMEA2-v3.1.exe (320 MB) and CM2320series-win7-full-solution-EMEA3-v3.1.exe (315 MB). I have downloaded all 3 & tried installing all 3 & they all have the same issue - HP Solution Centre does not get installed. Have tried to get help from HP technical & they just keep telling you to uninstall & install again. I had a HP All in one PSC 1315 at home & had this installed on my office PC & its Solution Centre worked with the CM2320, unfortunately I had a hard disk failuer 3 weeks back & did the same installed the PSC 1315 & later the CM2320 - now come what may the HP Solution Centre does not work with the CM2320. Any body got any solutions?

The product you have is a commercial printer. I suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support for a better chance at finding a solution.
