HP Solution Center

Officejet Pro L7780, Windows 8, HP Solution Center 140.0.18.23. Uninstalled duplicate copy of L7780 in Windows Printers. Not showing there but in Solution Center there are always two copies of the printer (basic version which is being used and duplicate version suffixed as copy 1). How do I get rid of the copy 1 version which doesn't exist anywhere else on the machine? I have tried re-installing Solution Center to no avail.

Re: HP Solution Center

go to the Start Screen on Windows 8 then type Print Management and you should see that tile.  Select that and it should open in the desktop. when the tool opens look on the left and you should see All Printers and All Drivers.  First go to all to All Drivers and look for multiple copies of the drivers.  If you see multiple copies on should start with 6.2.9200 this would be an in-OS driver the other should not look like this and that would be the full solution driver you need to delete the in-OS driver and then go to All Printers and make sure that ther is only one printer, if there is more delete one of them...if you try to delete the full solution printer it should tell you that it is in use, but you should be able to delete the in-OS . Restart and try solution center agian and see what happens

Re: HP Solution Center

Something flashes up too quickly to read and disappears. Is there a permissions issue here? I am the only user and administrator of the machine.

Re: HP Solution Center
