LaserJet 4 driver for Windows 7

My LaserJet 4 works great - just as HP promised when I bought it.  Now, HP customer support has told me HP has made a choice to NOT write a driver for it to work with Windows 7.  How can I use my LaserJet 4 - any ideas?  I hate to drop it into my local landfill.

Re: LaserJet 4 driver for Windows 7

Hi

There are two drivers listed for my Photosmart 3110 listed in Windows update.

Have tried them both and niether work properly.

I can no longer print 100x150 photos reliably.

Any suggestions?

Dave

Go to Start, Devices and Printers, Add a Printer and then follow the above.  Click on "Windows Update" in the lower right if your printer is not in the initial list of printers to install.

I would suggest posting in a new thread with an appropriate title like "Cannot print 100x150mm photos in Windows 7 with the Photosmart 3110".  Give appropriate details such as how the printer is connected, what OS (32 bit or 64 bit), what applications you are using to print and any error messages or details of the issue you are having.

Re: LaserJet 4 driver for Windows 7

I have finally been able to connect my HP4 laserjet on windows 7, using a usb to parallel converter.  It will print an 8 x 11  page just fine, but when I try to print an envelope, I do not get the options in the "print window" to print an envelope.  Any suggestions?

Yes, the Windows Update driver is available for either 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7.

There is a an LaserJet 4 print driver listed in Win 7 upgrade but it doesn't work.  It worked with Windows Vista.  Any suggestions?  Help.
