HP Recommended

I've noticed that the boards were getting a little cluttered,so I've decided to compile some of the posts that were on these boards into one FaQ that any user can find and use.  So below is a list of posts that pertain to Solution Center, and a brief history of the software.

A Brief History of Solution Center

Solution Center has been around for quite a while in one incarnation or another.  The first form that Solution Center took was HP Director.  It was know as this until version 11 of the software was released.  From then until version 14 it was known as Solution Center.  After version 14 of the software, Solution Center ceased to exist.  It was replaced with what was known as Solution Center Lite in version 22 of the software, which has become HP Printer Assistant since version 26 of the software was released.  And that is the anthology of Solution Center.  Shot and sweet. 🙂

Version 14 of the Software and Below Full Scrub Steps for Non-HP Computers Only

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Issues-Troubleshooting/Version-14-of-the-Software-and-Below-Fu...

This post gives the steps for doing a full uninstall of the HP software to fix any problem with Solution Center.  This is only for non-HP computers.  Doing these steps on an HP computer can turn it into a very expensive paper weight.  In military terms, this is a "scorched earth" pollicy for HP software.
