hp TrayApp.msi

In moving from Vista Home Premium 2.0 to Windows 7 home premium 32-bit, the hp TrayApp.msi software is missing.  Have Photosmart C7250 on media center m7757c computer.  Need CD or download with this info. several hp support software items will not start without it.  Any help appreciated.

Re: hp TrayApp.msi

I believe you need this document that includes instructions after upgrading:
Instructions to fix

Software Download for Win7 -

Photosmart C7250 (32bit)

Photosmart c 7250 (64bit)

Here is why I believe this will work -
1) you mentioned you upgraded
2) when printer software is upgraded from Vista to Win7, there is a component that is deleted in the upgrade process.
3) If you are not already on v13, it is important you get the latest software - this also will replace the missing file and you will have the Win7 software designed for your printer.

Hope that helps.

Re: hp TrayApp.msi

I had previously installed both the 13.1 upgarde and the patch.  The 13.1 upgrade allowed all C7250 functions to work (after adjusting properties to show two-sided printing).  Still need to install hp TrayApp.msi so that hp support will work (and my Windows 7 will stop hunting for it).

Re: hp TrayApp.msi

an idea - it could be software from the migration that is causing the trayapp.msi to try and repair itself.

please uninstall and install again using these instructions

Re: hp TrayApp.msi

Thanks for the info.  I had fought my way through the suggested path earlier (before hp had posted a nice solution); this hp write-up would have made that effort much easier.  Unfortunately, it still does not solve the TrayApp.msi problem.  Perhaps hp could post this for download.  Regards,

Re: hp TrayApp.msi

How do I get rid of this extremely irritating repetitive frustration on my PC? It has a VERY STUPID way of repetitive looping when I want to get out of the 'Try the installation package TrayApp.msi'  window!!!

Whatever HP did to get this ontomy PC IS VERY NEGATIVE & WASTING TIME!!!!!!
