hp deskjet 3070A with Mac OS X lion 10.7.5

Recently updated operating system, now cannot scan, computer cannot find scanner, scanner cannot find computer.

Tried loading latest update from HP, computer insists higher version already loaded.

Hi,

Please try following the steps below in order to get the problem resolved:

  1. Go into the Applications folder and enter the Hewlett-Packard folder.
  2. Follow the HP Uninstaller to remove the currently installed HP software.
  3. Download and install the software below, make sure to select HP Recommended Software during the installation:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-96582-2&cc=uk&dlc=en&lc=en&...
  4. Once the installation completes click the Apple icon and select Software Update, make sure to select any listed HP update.

HI

Thanks for your help, but out of frustration I decided to put everything away.  Thats when I noticed the USB into the HP was the wrong way round!!! Silly mistake, wasted 2 hours but it should only fit one way.

in the page of HP DESKJET 3070A haven't the driver or OS X 10.9 and this new OS is exit in november 2013. WHY?
