hp photosmart a636 won't turn on

I haven't used my hp photosmart a636 for about a year or two, and since my parent's anniversary is tomorrow, I wanted to use it to print a photo, but it won't turn on!!! Please help me so I can print a photo for tomorrow! :smileysad:

Hi jess1029

 

Plug the printer directly into the wall outlet.
The reason for this step is because the unit already has a built in surge protector and if you have it plugged in to a bar or surge protector, then the unit will not get all the power it requires to function properly and it will cause issues with false errors on the screen or powering on  and scanning issues.

 

Check the connection at each end. Inspect the power cord.

 

Move the printer into a different room and use a different outlet.

 

You can try a power reset.
