If you have you CD from the product you can install it using USB or network at long as you are on PC.  The link below explains more:

If attempting to install on a RT table, no support is provided. The following matrix has more information regarding full solutions supports and alternatives:

The windows 8 drivers should be available late January. Please book mark and refer to this site for up to date information:

Laserjet printers supported in Windows 8

If you need to printer and don't want to wait for the windows 8 drivers, you can try the windows 7 drivers however I would recommend updating them with the windows 8 drivers as soon as they are available.

The windows 7 drivers did not work for me neither did the generic driver. It just prints a bunch of character on the top of many pages. When will this driver be available?

Surely HP and give a more specific date for releasing drivers for Windows 8. This is ludicrous

I beelieve I have found the solution for this issue. Originally when you tried installing the UP PCL 5.5 or 6.0 it would print reams of paper.

I ahve found that by using the Windows 8 Update, then selecting HP and then selecting the HP 2100 laserjet it will work as I can now print to the printer. This includes installing it when it is a network printer.
