Will the Win 7 driver work and if not, when can I expect a Win8 driver?

The WIndows 7 Driver should work but the WIndows 8 driver will be availible in late 2012...please post and let me know if the Windows 7 driver worked and you need to have the lastest firmware update using a Windows 7 machine.

win 8 64bit and cp1215?

The page has been updated to show that the drivers should be expected to be pushed out early this year. I just verified that one of the drivers that was in a similar status as your was just released, so they are being regularly updated - but this is a time consuming process to write updated drivers for each printer model that is still in use.

The good news is that it should be soon!

Have a great day!

Re: win 8 64bit and cp1215?

Ok. Maybe you should start working on windows 9 drivers now so people who have your products can actually use them when they release a new OS. It's not like manufacturers aren't aware of new OS well in advance of there release!

Ill give it till the end of next week. But as printing is urgent for me i will need to look for a new printer. Sadly it won't be a HP this time around.

win 8 64bit and cp1215?

Unfortunately the large delay in getting out many of these drivers deals with the latency with which we were able to access the programming for Win8 and then couple that with the profound number of printers which needed to have updated drivers (several thousand). This is a lengthy process and it is being addressed in the quickest and most efficient way possible.

The fact that there are so few drivers without Win8 compatibility shows the effort that HP is making. I am sorry for your inconvenience.

Well what is the new date as the beginning of 2013 has come and gone?   And now spring 2013  has come and gone?
