HP Omni 220-1050xt CTO Desktop PC
Product #: QB906AV OS: WIndows 7 (64-bit)
<received> ERROR: Unable to start Bluetooth stack service
Unable to find/open Bluetooth Exchange Folder
>Trying to wirelessly connect to HP Officejet 6500A Plus
I have updated my drivers, and checked for updates on both the PC and the AIO Printer. I have uninstalled and re-installed Bluetooth on the PC. I cannot get my Bluetooth Devices to find the printer. When I open the Print Center, I cannot connect to the PC. If I send a page to be printed I receive an error that communication with the printer has failed.
I tried a USB connection to the PC - can't tell if the cable is non-functional or not, but I still cannot access my printer, nor can I scan to PC.
HELP!!! I basically have a $400 paper weight that inhibits my work, as I have to wait for the boss to print/scan anything!

Hi,
Firstly, based on document c02519721.pdf (its manual) your printer does NOT have Bluetooth. Please read the following book and select a type of connection which is suitable for your current hardware:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00389927.pdf
You also need to install driver and applications on the CD to your computer. Please post back your selected type of connection and any problem (if any).
Hope this helps.

I can't say what the manual for the printer says, however there are wireless icons all over the front. Could be because (according to the image) that is not my printer. My printer Product #: CN557A, the FPU: CN557-64001. It is the All-In-One printer/copier/scanner/fax unit with Bluetooth installed and optional ethernet connections.
When I first started using this PC (at work) the printer WOULD print wirelessly, but only sometimes, or it would "drop" the connection half way through the print. I tried to use the printer USB connection to my PC, but again it says the USB connection does not exist, or PC cannot communicate with printer.
When I search on my PC, one of the selections I choose is to "open the Bluetooth Exchange Folder". This folder does not exist. As I understand the action of the software, this folder is required for Bluetooth to talk to peripheral bluetooth devices. I tried uninstalling/re-installing Bluetooth in an attempt to generate this folder, but it did not seem to work.

Hi,
Again, your printer does NOT have BT, here is it specs:
It only has: 1 USB 2.0; 1 Ethernet; 1 Wireless 802.11b/g/n; 2 memory card slots; 1 RJ-11 fax
I think you see the wireless icon, not BT icon. Is it a blue (similar) B symbol or an antenna symbol ? Again, the above mentioned book can help you to setup a good connection with your existing hardware and you can send print jobs directly from a computer (with wireless card) to your printer.
Regards.
