I have a HP laptop running 7, and a HP C4780 printer. They will communicate fine for some time, then all of a sudden, they won't communicate anymore. I have been able to solve this by uninstalling the printer from the computer, restarting and re-installing. Viola! It works....until it doesn't days down the road. I repeat the uninstall/re-install and it works again. WHY won't it stay there? Any ideas????

I am having the same problem. Since the printer is out warranty HP doesn't seem to care. If you find the solution please pass it on to me
