Can an officejet 6500 wireless printer be "wired" to a PC and also run wireless for laptops.

The printer is working with the PC and laptops in the wireless mode.

My question is, can this be done?

If you mean wired with USB, the answer is yes.  If you mean wired to a network with Ethernet, the answer is no.

Thank you very much for your response.

Last question, I installed the printer program as "wirelwss" hook up.

Do I neeed to reprogram the computer for "wired" connection also???

Yes.  If on a PC go to Start > All Programs > Hewlett-Packard > OfficeJet 6500 series > Add a Device (or similar words).   Make sure the printer is plugged in with USB when you do this.

It will create a second instance of the printer (rename it so you can tell them apart).  Now you will have a wireless instance of the printer and a USB instance, both listed in Control Panel > Printers.
