I have a Photosmart B110 with Wireless and a WPA-encrypted wireless network that works fine with all my other WiFi devices. When I use the wireless network wizard on the printer, it detects the network and I enter the passphrase. Then it says 'attempting to connect' but before it finishes, it comes up with a blue screen with a power logo on it and then says 'Printer Error. Turn the printer off and on' and all of the lights start flashing. When I turn the printer off and on, it's not connected.
Any ideas, or is the printer faulty?

This is kinda out there, but the C4700 series has a similar problem (known firmware bug, fix on its way).
The temporary work around for it is to change the length of your network name (SSID) from 6 characters to something like 10 or 12.
It would help us to know if the B110 has a similar problem. Is your current SSID 6 characters? Can you change it and see if the printer behaves itself?
Thanks in advance,
PD

I have the same problem. When I enter the wireless key I just get a blue screen, then a Printer Error saying please turn off and on and all lights flashing. I am definately entering the correct wireless key. If I deliberately enter an incorrect wireless key, then I get a message saying it's not correct, and I need to try again. Any solutions?, or is the printer going straight back to the shop?
Thanks.

What kind of wireless security are you using (WEP, WPA, WPA2...)?

Same problem for me, using a BT Homehub2.
Currently have WPA&WPA2 security set up though had no luck without security too. After a few attempts with the first printer I had, it gave up the ghost and wouldn't even start.
Apple very kindly replaced the printer after getting annoyed with the HP support line, though the second is no better.
I'm guessing this is a problem across this batch of printers so I'll waste more money and hours of my life on the phone to HP tomorrow.

Thanks for the hint:
The wireless setting was listed as WPA and WPA2.
I've just changed it to WPA2 only and I have the same problem.
I've also just tried WPA only and still the same problem.
Now I've changed it to WEP and it seems to work!!
What's your opinion of WEP - I thought it was older and not as secure technology, so I'd prefer if possible to use WPA/WPA2
Any further Ideas if I'll be able to get WPA/WPA2 working or do you think I need to stick with WEP??
Thanks.

ok, another update...
now the WEP doesn't work.
I put the CD in my laptop, went through the stuff on there, it asked me to enter the ip address displayed in the screen on the printer, so I look at the printer and it's now saying not connected. So I go through the wireless setup on the printer again and the same old error - blue screen followed by flashing lights.
So I print out the wireless network test report and it says 'congratulations on the succesful setup...'. Hardly!
More help required...
thanks.

WEP is not at all secure, it can be broken in about 10 with freeware! Try WPA2 with AES.
