Hi,
I have just bought a Deskjet 3050A J611a printer. I have set it up with no problems on my computer.
However, when I try to use either my iPhone or iPad to print (both running iOS 5.0.1), they say no Airprint printers. I have tried restarting my printer and I assume they are on the same network as there is no other wireless network in the house.
What have I missed?
Thanks,

On the front of the printer, enable Web Services. You will know it is enabled when it prints a page describing its e-services.
If that has already been done, restart your router by pulling its power cable momentarily.

OK, make sure both your iOS device and the printer are on the SAME network.
What router are you using?

I assigned the printer a static IP at 192.168.1.254 and it is definitely connected to TALKTALK-165538 as are my iOS devices.
I intended to use the static IP to perhaps open some ports or allow it somehow on my router but I am unsure what ports to use.

OK, enter the printer's IP into a web browser to reveal the printer's webpage. Go to the Network tab and find the area to enter the DNS server manually. Use Google DNS for the printer: 8.8.8.8 for the first entry and 8.8.4.4 for the second. Click Apply and retry.
I suspect your router is doing something strange, here. Is it supplied by your ISP?

And yes it was supplied by my ISP, is there anything I can do in the router settings?
Thank you for your help so far.

Well, you could change your encryption from WEP to WPA if it is currently WEP. Also, you could change the router's channel to 11.
