'Communication Error' when printing to Officejet J5750 All-in-One from Mac 10.7

I have printed to my Officejet J5750 All-in-One for years without a problem, and today it stopped working. I've followed all of the troubleshooting steps on the website but they haven't helped, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out.

I've tried printing from a Mac on OS 10.5.8 that is connected to the printer through a USB cable. I'm able to scan from this printer to the computer, so the problem doesn't seem to be the cable or connections.

I've tried printing from a Mac on OS 10.7.2 using Airport Extreme. I receive the same message as I do when trying to print from the computer that is hard wired into the printer. 

There are no errors on the screen of the printer. There are no paper jams, and I'm not out of ink. I've made sure that the printer is not paused in the print que. I've tried deleting all of the jobs, shutting down the computer, unplugging the printer, and starting it up again. I've tried deleting the printer from the system file and reinstalling it. 

This is the error that I receive in the printer que:

Communication Failure: The computer is no longer able to communicate with your printer. Turn the printer off, check your printer connections and check for printer errors, and turn the printer back on.

Again, I've been using this printer with these computers consistently for months on one computer, and years on the other. I had printed several things on it that day, and then suddenly I started getting error messages.

Any ideas?
