Computer doesn't see wireless printer

  • I just replaced my wireless router.
  • Have three wireless devices.
  • My computers all connect to the internet.
  • My computers no longer see my wireless printer (HP Photosmart c6380).
  • I checked modem (when through their tech support people). It checked out fine.
  • I spent 3 hours with Netgear (router) and it checked out fine. He said its a HP configuration issue.
  • I used the HP diagnostic utility. It cannot find any wireless devices except computer & router.
  • My computer says the printer is offline. It is not.
  • Help!!!

Re: Computer doesn't see wireless printer

Let's reset the printer:

1. Press Setup.

2. Press the down arrow button until Network is highlighted, and then press OK.

3. Press the down arrow button until Restore Network Defaults is highlighted, and then press OK.

4. Press OK to confirm that you want to restore the network defaults.

Now, from the front of the printer: Setup > Network > WIreless Setup Wizard (you may have to turn on the wireless radio first).

Re: Computer doesn't see wireless printer

My computer still does not see the printer and says it is offline.

Could this be a IP address problem?

my printer is 198.162.1.2

my router is 198.162.1.1 ( the router sees the printer)

my computer lists the IP of the printer in properties as 198.162.1.1, but has the correct mac address for the printer.

Any ideas??

Re: Computer doesn't see wireless printer

Print a self test from the front of the printer to get its IP address.  It cannot be 192.168.1.1.
