Just bought this printer and didn't realise that I needed a router. It seems that it is possible to connect without one but I need simple step by step instructions!!! I have a Dell laptop running Windows 7. Help please

Did you insert the installation CD that came with the product and install the software?
Connect to the ad hoc network profile you created on your laptop.
