@charlie95722 I don't believe it's a problem of wireless router setup because I have several devices with bonjour services running in the same network without problems.
Only the bonjour services of the HP printer disappear, all other bonjour services remain visible and work fine.

@stix4 Thank you for the link. I worked through that document but still having the same problem (printer disappears from bonjour).
The network test page from the printer showed no problem.
The onboard product update function said my printer is up to date.
There is no firmware update available for the C310 printer on the HP Customer Care site.
Setting a static IP address didn't resolve the issue neither.
It really seems to be a Bonjour issue of the printer. All other Bonjour services remain visible. Only the services from the HP Photosmart printer disappear. I used Bonjour Browser (www.tildesoft.com) to check tha

I am having the exact same problem. This thread is more than a year old and the HP people still will not recognize it is a problem with the printer?
I check daily for updates to the product with no success.
This is very frustating.

Thanks for the follow-up. I agree, Bonjour seems to throw this one a wrench. Check these steps below.....Link to complete document at bottom.
Check the specifications or support documentation for your router, or contact the router manufacturer, to make sure that your router supports Bonjour. It must also support forwarding Bonjour packets.

- On the printer control panel, touch the button (
) next to the Setup icon (
). - Touch the Right Arrow button (
) to select Wireless , and then touch OK . - Touch the Right Arrow button to select Wireless Settings , and then touch OK .
- Touch the Right Arrow button to select Print Network Configuration Page , and then touchOK to print the page.
- Check the first line under IPv4 for the printer IP address.Figure 25: Example of a Network Configuration Page

- Go to the folder where you saved the downloaded installation file, double-click the disk image, and then double-click the HP Installer icon.
- Review and accept the terms of the HP Software License Agreement , and then click Next .
- In the printer selection window, click My device is not listed , and then click OK .
- Select your printer from the list of printers supported by the HP Installer.
- Review and select the install options, and then click Install .
- Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the Setup option to add a Printer Queuewindow.
- When prompted, click the Print & Scan button, and then click the Plus icon (
) in the lower left corner of the window. - Click Add Printer or Scanner , and then click the IP icon.
- In the Protocol drop-down, click HP Jetdirect-Socket .
- In the text box, type the printer's new IP address, and then click Add .
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
