Deleted print job stuck in queue.

Deleted print job is sitting in the queue as "deleting" and is preventing me from printing anything from MS Office or the internet.  I can print from the HP App to test printing without problem so I know my wireless setup is working properly.  Just need to know how to get this file out of the print queue. Operating on Windows 8.  Wireless.  Interestingly the problem document actually did print from a reliable web site but remained in the print queue.  Have rebooted modem, restarted computer, turned printer off and on.  What else can I try?

Thank you.

Re: Deleted print job stuck in queue.

Hi,

From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

Regards,
