I have an Internet ADSL broadband connection and I share it thru a router TPLink WR-642G. A Desktop (OS XP Professional) is directly connected in the router (via cable) while the other 4 notebooks are using wifi connection (two with OS XP and two with Win 7).
I did not establish a network what means that they are not in communication each other. As informed before the router is just used to share the internet access.
Should I install the 5030 drivers in each computer?

Well, if you have a router, you have a network. All of your computers will be able to use the printer via the network, even if they are wired and the printer is wireless. The router does not care how devices are connected to it. You can keep the USB cable and it will work, but there is no need. Plus, with the printer wireless, you can put it anywhere in your house!
The best way to do this is to get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page. Each PC will have to have its own software. On the first PC you install it on you will set up the wireless connection and get the printer connected to the wireless nework. After that, the other PCs will just see it on the network and connect to it.
When you install the software it will ask you what type of installation or connection. Choose "Network" or "Wireless" (not sure what word it will use). Make sure the printer is NOT connected via USB when you start this process on the first PC.

Dear Kudos
Many thanks for replying so fast.
Just to check my understanding:
Not having a connection between the computers (I mean exchanging files or seeing each other) I will be able to print from each computer and just the first when I did the set up will have the drivers.
Should I keep it always on?
I read in the manual that I have to choose the connection between USB cable or WiFi. Can I use both together? Please remember that the desktop does not have WiFi board and must be connected thru USB cable (the printer is close it). Because this limitation I cannot, for while. leave it in other place of my house.
On the other hand and reading your email many times I can also deduce that once the printer was installed none of the computer will manage it because the router will be in charge of this operation.
Is there any specific set up to be done in the router? Security is WPA2-PSK
Could you please clarify these points?
Thanks a lot

All computers will have to have the HP software. Only the first will actually connect the printer to the network. After that all computers will be able to see the printer already on the network and, after installing the HP software, print and scan.

Yes, you can use both together, but the desktop that does not have the WiFi board will also be able to connect to the printer over the network, so no need to use USB!!

Is there any specific set up to be done in the router? Security is WPA2-PSK It should work. You may have to go back to WPA or if there is a WPA/WPA2 combo setting that will work.
Could you please clarify these points?
