Problem still stands that I can't add an IP address because Orange only let's me add a device that it has already recognized... I have to chose from the drop-down menu, can't type in manually.
Is there a way to "command" the printer without the HP software? In other words, now that I've uninstalled all the HP software, is there a way to enter in the password for the wireless to see if the printer can connect without adding it through the router?

Many of the Orange Livebox wireless-routers require you to press a button to add a new device to the network. The button is probably located on the back of the router.
I think we should start over. Try the process of installing the F4580 printer using the driver from www.hp.com located here. Once it scans and detects your printer, press the connect button on the back of hte Livebox wireless-router.

Jackpot.
Actually, the Orange router doesn't have this button (only to RESET and turn WI-FI on/off), but I didn't even need that.
All we needed was this new software. Long way round, but it's working. PrintDoc, thanks for your help even though it was a much simpler solution.
