HELP WITH SETUP

I'm trying to set up my HP photosmart c6350 printer, but it is not detected locally on the usb and I cannot connect wirelessly. The printer is on my wifi with the IP of 192.168.0.5, but it will not link with my computer (Yes I turned off my firewall). I will be happy if I can setup either locally or wirelessly. How do I solve this problem?

Hi - I have an HP Photosmart C309a all in one printer. I have it set up as a network printer in my home. Everything is working fine, just a quick question. In the Network Toolbox, there is a place that says "Host Name", can I change that to a more friendly name or will that mess up my working configurations? Currently it says "HP80F8D4". Can I change it to  "Home Network Printer" or any other such name?

No, don't change it.  It is used to identify the printer on the network.

 

You can change its name in Control Panel, Printers, however.  That name will come up when you open a print dialog box.
