HP D110 will not scan

I have an HP e-all-in-one multifunction printer, scanner, copierm Model D110. Recently I had to reformat my conputer due to a virus. Following that, I reinstalled the printer, which does print and copy as usual, but it does not scan. In fact, when I installed the HP scanner utility, HPSDU, it indicated no printer was installed. I have used the software disc for reinstalling the software twice with the same results.
Note that I have used the wireless install without hooking up with a USB cable ( I do not have a USB cord.. My HP Dv6-2150 us laptop is working fine with my netgear router as are all other wireless devices such as my wife's Ipad and my Kindle Fire.
Now, I did not completely un-install the printer for a reinstall,; what I did was to start up the insall disc and follow the prompts.
I appreciate any help to fix this. Thanks tforall replies.

Could you let me know what operating system you are using and if its 32 ot 64 bit?

IT is Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks for your reply and question, but I finally got the scan to work.
After a few attempts with uninstalling the printer and using the software disc to reinstall both the lprinter and software, I used the software disc that came with the printer to completely uninstall everyting--which I think was the key.
Then following the video instructions on the HP support webstie for installing a wireless printer, i downloaded the expanded driver set and continued to reinstall. It went down like sweet tea! Within minutes, the printer was installed, the full software installed and the printer/copier/scan functions all in operation.
I had been following the instructions in the materials that came with the D110a, or the first HP suppport article I read, which was the old one, out -of -date I guess.
I hope my experience helps others with a similar problem

Glad to hear! For future reference, those install disk go out of date almost immediately. Theres always new updates available so be sure to grab to latest install package from our site, or the manufacter site of the product. I usually immediately go to the internet for driver downloads for any product I have. Usually just works better. ![]()

I have a similar problem i my imac. Updated OX and reinstalled the printer. Scanner does not work.

Hey Simson. This document you help resolve the issue: I Can't Scan in Mac OS X Let me know how this works. If it does not resolve the issue post back with any new details and we will go from there.
