My HP Photosmart D110a all-in-one successfully connected to my home wireless network running through a Cisco model M 10 router, and it shows up on each computer. I was able to load the printer software on both wireless laptops running Windows 7 and access the printer, but I keep getting spooler and connection error messages when trying to set up the printer on the desktop computer. The desktop is running Windows Vista and is connected to the wireless network through the router by an ethernet cable. I tried loading the printer software on the desktop both with the disk that came with the printer and by downloading from HP on the web. The printer shows up under "printers" in both cases, but the error messages show in either case when I try using the printer. During the install process it asks whether the printer will be connected by USB or wireless. I selected "wireless" because my laptop is connected to the network via ethernet cable through the router and there was no option to connect to the printer through the router. When I'm using the desktop computer for normal operations I continue to get the Microsoft spooler connection error message even when I'm not trying to use the printer. I have a HP Officejet All-in-one 5610 directly connected to the desktop via USB, but I didn't want to have to leave the desktop on all the time for other computers on the network to be able to use the printer since the 5610 has no wireless capability. I also wanted to be able to centrally locate the wireless printer for use by all without it having to be tied to a computer. Is there a way to resolve this without connecting the D110a wireless printer to a computer?
